- In Cheltenham, England, GE Aerospace has committed nearly $9.000 to the Heart of England Forest to environmental conservation. Through educational programs reaching 1.100 students, GE Aerospace’s donation will empower the next generation to care for the environment while restoring vital wildlife habitats.
The GE Aerospace Foundation’s Matching Gifts program, a concept pioneered by the GE Foundation in 1954, also enables employees’ philanthropic dollars to go further in local communities. The program s employees around the world in their personal philanthropy and charitable giving by providing a 1:1 match to qualified charities – a privilege now offered by 65 percent of Fortune 500 companies.
