Since 2018, the Government of Mexico tries to sell its VIP transport jet, the Boeing 787. Even with the change of presidents throughout these years, all attempts were frustrated.
The current president Andrés Manuel Lopez decided to change the approach to try to sell the aircraft. This time the president of Mexico turned to Global Jet to try to sell the executive transport jet.
The Boeing 787-8 was manufactured in 2009, having been used by the manufacturer for several test flights. The aircraft was purchased by the Mexican government in 2014, and its interior was completely created exclusively for the purposes of presidential VIP transport.
For two years, the plane went through the entire internal configuration process and also underwent modifications to the external part. Global Jet did not inform what value it intends to charge for the plane, but expects potential buyers to be interested in the plane, which can travel 14 kilometers nonstop.
See below how the interior of the aircraft designed exclusively for Mexico looks like.
The aircraft has the most modern colors and finishes, resembling a luxury apartment. The colors in darker tones contrast with the walls of the aircraft and also with the large windows that have gradual darkening technology without the traditional blinds.
The living room has a large sofa for up to three people, as well as two leather chairs that recline. In this part of the plane, the lighting system also has luminaires on the walls.
The space for other engers and guests is also very comfortable and spacious, being distributed in two seats each with the standard of executive armchairs. In the armchairs on the walls there is a retractable table for meals or working with papers and computers.
The space is one of the few on the Boeing 787 that has the standard luggage racks as in a regular enger aircraft, but the lighting is also different.
With this aircraft you could make the most of this comfort and still have no excuses not to exercise, imagine being able to run or walk at just over 800km/h? In the executive Boeing 787 there is a treill for those who want to train even on trips.
And of course the presidential suite, which has a large double bed that looks very comfortable by the way. LED lighting with lights scattered throughout the room, making the environment well lit and pleasant.
Next to the presidential suite, there is a completely personalized and exclusive bathroom. The floor in light tones contrasts with the cabinets and doors that received darker tones. The lines are also combined with the shower box, which is the only space in the bathroom that has white floors and stronger lighting.
