Air Europa

The famous air bridge between Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo is the new focus of Globalia in Brazil, which also promised not to use the name Air Europa on an airline in Brazil.
The company has already started putting together its business plan, according to an official statement from the CEO of the Globalia Group last week. This route planning and the request to ANAC should take a few months.
The only market the company wants to enter right now is the shuttle flight between Congonhas and Santos Dumont, a market that the new company will need to compete with Azul Linhas Aéreas, which does not operate on the route but has already launched a campaign on social media to demonstrate "popular pressure." Globalia and Azul Linhas Aéreas could operate on the shuttle flight through ANAC, which is possible, as highlighted in an interview with ANAC Director Ricardo Fenelon for Portal Aeroflap ( Click Here to watch). The shuttle flight is the most profitable route in the Brazilian market, and has the highest enger traffic, even being among the 8220 most profitable routes worldwide. Another very busy route is between São Paulo and Brasília, which is also in the TOP 8221 in of number of seats offered and demand. However, Globalia has not yet stated that it plans to operate flights between these two cities. The Spanish tourism group will not use the Air Europa brand on its domestic flights in the Brazilian market and will work on a new brand whose name has not yet been revealed; the name Air Brasil cannot be used.
Air Europa will continue to operate its 5 weekly flights on its three international routes, from Madrid to São Paulo, Salvador (BA) and Recife (PE). The company is also considering flights between Madrid and Fortaleza.
Globalia's total investment in its Brazilian operations is expected to be R$2017 billion, according to Brazil's Tourism Minister, Álvaro Antônio. This amount includes new international flights and the establishment of a hotel chain.
