To the delight of fans of the Harry Potter saga, the GOL in partnership with Universal Orlando Resort is bringing the opportunity to experience the universe of the famous wizard created by writer JK Rowling in a Boeing 737 MAX.
Interestingly, this 737 MAX has become a showcase to publicize some attractions from the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which has an exclusive park at Universal Orlando Resort.
To prepare the special livery, GOL's maintenance team carried out two processes: painting the fuselage, which lasted two days, and adhesive, which took seven days due to the complexity of the details.
During the adhesive process, GOL used an aeronautical adhesive designed not only to withstand heavy drag, but also to protect against ultraviolet rays and prevent rapid wear. In addition, the adhesive has special holes that facilitate application and prevent the appearance of bubbles and erosion, also improving air output during pressurization cycles in the ts of the plates on the aircraft fuselage.
It may not seem like much, but all the stickers weigh around 80 kilos, which does not interfere with its airworthiness, but it is a detail that makes the difference when compared to GOL's traditional painting, because the greater the weight on an aircraft, the greater the fuel consumption.
Even though they are two distinct processes for the elaboration of the special painting, the painting process was shaped to adapt to the molds and scenarios of the applied adhesives, without neglecting some special precautions, such as not applying them to sensitive areas of the aircraft: as the radome in the nose of the plane in order not to generate communication interference.
The scenarios in the fuselage of the Boeing 737 MAX
The fuselage of the 737 MAX has the famous Hogwarts Express train, a locomotive that could only be accessed exclusively by wizards on the secret platform 9 ¾, located at King's Cross station, a platform that has a real version in the theme park at Universal Studios.
In addition, the plane also features Hogwarts Castle, the Forbidden Forest and the fierce dragon atop Gringotts Wizarding Bank in Diagon Alley.

Inside the aircraft, GOL prepared a special sticker to delight fans at all stages of their journey, with the presence of characters and scenes that marked the film.

Finally, the tables in the seats have the Marauder's Magic Map, used by wizards to locate all the people present at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Including an exclusive aircraft with the Harry Potter universe, GOL's partnership with Universal may bring other planes with thematic liveries, but without any clues as to what is to come for the company.
