A GOL Linhas Aéreas reinforced its operations and in July Potiguar customers will receive five new flight options connecting the main Brazilian cities: Porto Alegre, Goiânia, Curitiba, Belo Horizonte and Campinas.
The new routes add to those already operated by GOL to São Paulo (Guarulhos and Congonhas), Brasília, Rio de Janeiro (RIOGaleão) and Salvador, totaling ten destinations departing from Rio Grande do Norte.
All these new routes expand and improve connectivity for companies, which will have more business options in the most diverse parts of the country. They favor, even more, the resumption of tourism to the region after a period of stoppage due to the pandemic.
The State of Rio Grande do Norte has year-round heat and beaches with crystalline waters, historical tourist attractions related to the emergence of Brazil, in addition to a variety of options for tours.
“These new routes are strategic and should increase the flow of tourists coming from important markets in the South, Southeast and Midwest, excluding the need for a connection to reach Rio Grande do Norte, reducing travel time and increasing economic activity and tourism in the region”, says Bruno Balan, Strategic Planning Manager for GOL's Air Network.
Bruno Reis, CEO of the Potiguar Tourism Promotion Company (Emprotur), responsible for promoting the destination, explains the importance of GOL's new routes for the State, “Increasing connectivity in Rio Grande do Norte is a constant activity of the State Government, the five new routes, coming from the South, Southeast and Midwest regions, are strategic for the destination and increase our competitiveness on the national scene”.
As of June 25th, the Curitiba/Natal, Goiânia/Natal, Porto Alegre/Natal and Belo Horizonte/Natal routes will start operating with a weekly return trip. On the 26th of the same month, Campinas/Natal begins operating with the same frequency.
“GOL fulfills its role as the largest domestic airline in the country by serving the main Brazilian markets, such as Natal, which has expanded its network and offers customers more options and flexibility in their travels, always with confidence and security, our value number 1”, says Bruno.
Tickets for the new destinations leaving Natal are now available and can be purchased at website and on the Company's app, at GOL stores at airports, by calling the Relationship Center (0300 115 2121) and at travel agencies.
