Operated since 2015 by GOL and suspended in March 2020 the Guarulhos route (GRU)-Mendoza (MDZ) was resumed today, Saturday (11), the eve of Valentine's Day, and will again include Brazilian, Argentine and other Customers traveling – mostly on leisure trips – between the economic capital of Brazil, São Paulo, and the most famous wine region in Argentina.
The commemorative flight G3 7486, returning to Mendoza, left Guarulhos International Airport today at 10:35 am, landing in the Argentine city at 14:35 pm, with the right to a special speech on boarding and on board by Luiz Teixeira, known as Tex, Commercial Manager for Markets GOL International: "We are about to fly again to Mendoza, a destination much awaited by all of us. There will be 3 direct flights a week, so you can arrive more quickly and comfortably at this super destination, known for its wines, adventures and the romantic air it brings. Mendoza is a place made for Everyone, as is our Company. Have a great flight.”
The resumption operation had symbolic elements from Argentina, so that Customers could begin to experience the country of destination from the beginning.
In addition to the well-flighted candy distributed to everyone, typical of resumption flights on GOL, there was a toast on board with Chardonnay white wine from Mendoza. After disembarking, engers were welcomed to the sound of tango at El Plumerillo International Airport, in addition to receiving a bag with alfajores and miniatures of local wines.
The return flight from the Argentine city to Guarulhos, G3 7487, was scheduled to take off at 15:20 pm (local time) today and land in Brazil at 18:50 pm. It always happens on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, both the outward and return trips.
As of September 3, there will be 4 round trips per week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. The route is operated by GOL with the Boeing 737-800 aircraft, which, in international configuration, has capacity for 176 engers.
Renowned for its landscapes populated by mountains and wineries and for its production of famous strains such as Malbec, Mendoza is located at the foot of Aconcagua. Much sought after for winter tourism, due to the snow and the greater consumption of wines at this time of year, Mendoza is not limited to the cold season: the city has activities and climate that can be enjoyed all year round.
“On behalf of the people of Mendoza, World Capital of Wine, we offer you the most cordial welcome. It fills us with joy that Customers choose our province for their next vacation or business trip. Mendoza awaits everyone with open arms and full of experiences so that they can enjoy our landscapes, our gastronomy and excellent services, with the best infrastructure and first-class professionals, in addition to the hospitality of our people”, says Rodolfo Suarez, governor of the province of Mendoza.
Brazilian customers on leisure trips and Argentineans in search of our beaches can benefit from flight schedules planned to facilitate connectivity, at the Guarulhos hub, with numerous national and international destinations.
There are more than 30 locations in Brazil and many others abroad offered by GOL from Guarulhos and, with partner companies, many other airports in North America and Europe.
Furthermore, engers from both countries can earn Smiles miles on all segments flown with GOL, from origin to final destination, as well as redeem tickets through the loyalty program.
Tickets for Mendoza, Argentina, can be purchased at website and on the Company's app, at GOL stores at airports, at Smiles, by calling the Relationship Center (0300 115 2121) and at travel agencies.
