Gol now offers quick check-in using facial biometrics

GOL Linhas Aéreas announced today (12/05) the launch of Selfie Check-in, a pioneering feature in the world that uses facial recognition to perform check-in on the company's mobile application. To use it, the customer just needs to their facial biometrics, without the need to include any other additional data. On your next flights, check-in can be done in the app using only the customer's facial recognition.

Available for domestic and international flights, the new tool, which is in the testing phase, is in line with the company's constant innovation process in the use of technologies in services and also in offering good service, focusing on the needs of engers.

“The facial recognition service is the result of continuous investments made by GOL to internally develop modern technologies that guarantee a better travel experience for all our engers”, explains Paulo Palaia, GOL's Director of Technology. "The novelty combines efficiency and high technology, facilitating an essential process for boarding and the day to day of customers who choose to travel with the company", concludes the executive.

In addition to the mobile application, GOL customers can choose different online channels to check in in advance, such as computer, tablet and cell phone. The company also offers the possibility of checking in via Twitter, which works through the exchange of private messages (DMs), made by a BOT.
