The company said it is routinely, and since June, sending emails encouraging the vaccination of its employees. This guarantees the safety of the company's engers, as well as GOL's regular operations, especially at a time when international flights are being resumed.

Throughout the months of September and October, GOL further intensified its internal campaign to raise awareness and encourage vaccination, reinforcing the importance of immunization among all employees. More than 99% of employees are currently vaccinated with two doses of the vaccine against Covid-19.

In addition to GOL, other companies such as Itapemirim, LATAM Brasil and Voe are also demanding complete vaccination of their employees.

Employee layoffs have yet to be announced by domestic airlines due to these reasons. The percentage of workers vaccinated in the airline industry is currently considered excellent.

all companies collaborated with the transport of millions of vaccines free of charge to various locations in Brazil, streamlining logistics and allowing for a rapid drop in the number of Covid-19 cases and deaths in the country.

Despite GOL's decision, an ordinance published today (1/11) prohibits the dismissal of employees who refuse to take the vaccine against Covid-19. This rule was signed by the Minister of Labor and Social Security, Onyx Lorenzoni, and is available in the Official Gazette (DOU).
