A GOL Linhas Aéreas has been resuming its flights abroad since November 2021, after the suspension of these operations in March 2020 due to the pandemic.
In a frank international ascent, the Company rescued in May, for example, its routes to the United States, with flights to Orlando and Miami, departing from Brasília International Airport (BSB).
With the strategy of moving the northeastern market, GOL plans to resume its international flights in the region for August 2022, in Ceará.
As of August 20th, the first international route to be rescued will be Fortaleza (FOR)-Buenos Aires/Aeroparque (AEP), in Argentina, with a weekly return trip on Saturdays.
On the 3rd of December, other Northeast capitals, such as Natal (NAT), Maceió (MCZ), Recife (REC) and Salvador (SSA), now also have a weekly departure, on Saturdays, and return, on Saturdays and Sundays, to the Argentine capital (AEP).
As one of GOL's most relevant markets outside Brazil, Argentina is a country that is greatly appreciated by Brazilians – and vice versa. These direct flights encourage tourism in the Brazil-Argentina corridor, generating income and jobs and strongly contributing to the greater movement of foreigners on the Brazilian coast.
Thus, the capitals of the Northeast are once again a focal point for customers in the region who are destined for the neighboring country of South America, and, for Argentines from the most diverse locations, the possibility of reaching the Northeast with comfort and safety, reappears. in addition to other national and international destinations with GOL and partner companies.
“Buenos Aires is an important tourist destination in South America, and now, GOL's Northeastern Customers have the opportunity to fly non-stop to Aeroparque airport, which is just 7,5 km from the city center, where they can access more easily the main tourist and business points”, points out Bruno Balan, Strategic Planning Manager for GOL's Air Network. “Being able to shorten the distance between the Northeast and Argentina for GOL Customers, with our flights, is a reason for great joy”, finished.
Since December 2021, GOL has been flying to the Buenos Aires capital from the airports of Guarulhos (GRU), RIOgaleão (GIG) and Florianópolis (FLN). To Mendoza, another highlight in the neighboring country, the Company resumed its flights in June. In November, flights to Córdoba (COR) and Rosario (ROS), in the interior of the neighboring country, will resume.
All flights to Argentina are operated by GOL using the Boeing 737-800 jet, with capacity for 176 engers on international routes. GOL's partnership with Aerolíneas Argentinas allows codeshare between Brazil and Argentina, that is, connectivity to the interior of Argentina, offering Customers ample options to fly from the Northeast to cities such as Ushuaia, Bariloche, El Calafate, among others.
“GOL fulfills its role as the largest airline in the country serving the main Brazilian markets, such as the capitals of the Northeast, transforming the Region into a gateway from Brazil to the rest of the world and offering Northeastern Customers more options and agility in their international travel, always with confidence and security, our number 1 value”, points out Bruno Balan, Strategic Planning Manager for GOL's Air Network.
Tickets are now available and can be purchased at website and on the Company's app, at GOL stores at airports, by calling the Relationship Center (0300 115 2121) and at travel agencies.
