The Government of Mato Grosso, through the State Secretariat for Infrastructure and Logistics (Sinfra-MT), launched this past Tuesday (15/02) the bidding process to expand and pave the runways at Juara Regional Airport.
The paved track meets an old demand from the city of 35 inhabitants, one of the largest in the Northwest region of the State.
The work is budgeted at R$ 6.522.033,29 and the bidding will be carried out under the Differentiated Contract Regime (RDC) in a single lot and at a lower price. The opening of bids is scheduled for March 15, 2022, at the Sinfra-MT Bidding Room.
According to the invitation to bid, the winning company will pave the landing and takeoff runway, the taxiway runway and access to the hangars. Another planned intervention is the construction of the airfield fence.
The expansion and paving of the airport will increase enger safety, preparing the runway to receive larger aircraft. This will meet the increased demand for air traffic throughout Mato Grosso, and especially in the Northwest region, which has been growing in recent years driven by policies to encourage agribusiness.
“This program of investment in aerodromes is a determination of Governor Mauro Mendes, to increase integration between cities, to make it easier for people to move around more easily. Mato Grosso is a state of enormous dimensions and quality airports will drive regional development”, said the Secretary of State for Infrastructure, Marcelo de Oliveira.
Cáceres Airport in Mato Grosso

The State Government has also relaunched the tender to carry out works at Nelson Martins Dantas Airport, in Cáceres. Initially scheduled for February 1st, no company submitted proposals, which characterized the bidding as deserted.
According to Sinfra-MT's Modal Development superintendence, an alteration was made to the notice to clarify some questions.
The work is budgeted at R$ 6.692.193,34, divided into two lots: one for the construction of the enger terminal; another for the supply and installation of materials, equipment and systems to aid navigation.
Sinfra-MT is also formalizing an agreement with the city of Cáceres, to resurface the landing and takeoff runways, and the taxiway at the airport.
The delivery of proposals for carrying out works at Cáceres airport is scheduled for March 08, at 14 pm, at the Sinfra-MT Tender Room.
