Gulfstream today reached the 100-day mark since the new G700 received type certification from the Federal Aviation istration (FAA) on March 29 and subsequently entered service. Additional certifications, steadily increasing flight hours and worldwide deliveries, along with continued intercity speed records, demonstrate the maturity of the G700 program.
To date, the G700 has also obtained type certification from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), along with type certificate validations from eight countries and the growing fleet has sured 700 flight hours.
The G700 also recently achieved new intercity speed records, connecting Paris to Montreal in 6 hours and 16 minutes and São Paulo to White Plains, New York, in 8 hours and 46 minutes, both at an average speed of Mach 0,90 or higher. The flights await approval from the US National Aeronautical Association and the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale in Switzerland for official recognition as world records. In total, the aircraft achieved almost 60 speed records.
During development and testing of the G700, Gulfstream customer service teams were integrated throughout the program to ensure operational readiness following certification. These teams are also facilitating seamless transitions as deliveries to G700 customers increase.
