Located in the center of the country, Goiânia Airport, managed by CCR Airports, is hosting for the third consecutive time the largest general aviation business fair – Aviation XP and the 4th Latin American Aeromedical Congress. Hosting these events strengthens the potential of general aviation in Goiás.
General aviation in Goiás represents more than 50% of daily operations at Goiânia Airport. The airport has a representation of the aeromedical service, in addition to other relevant fronts such as executive aviation and aircraft maintenance.
“Goiânia Airport has been growing in general aviation, with a relevant role both for the Brazilian market, occupying the 6th position in this segment among all airports in Brazil, and for the leadership of CCR Aeroportos. In 2023 alone, there were more than 30 thousand movements in Goiânia, which together with Pampulha and Bacacheri, were essential for maintaining our leadership in the national market, with 18% of general aviation landing and takeoff movements in the country”, reinforces Monique Henriques , Commercial Director at CCR Aeroportos.
According to the 2023 Air Traffic Statistical Yearbook of the Airspace Control Department (DECEA), General Aviation (or Business Aviation, as it is also called) grew 6,9% in Brazil compared to the previous year. Goiânia Airport ranked 6th in the country's movement ranking.
Aviation XP attracts a segmented audience in the general aviation area and is the most anticipated event by manufacturers, owners, students in related areas and other market players.
