Helibras delivers first AH-15B to the Brazilian Navy

Helibras delivered to the Brazilian Navy the first H225M Naval, designated AH-15B Super Cougar. The aircraft was received by the Navy at the Naval Air Base of São Pedro d'Aldeia, receiving registration number N-4101.

The AH-15B was developed by the Engineering team at Helibras and Airbus Helicopters and represents the most complex version of the H225M model. 

The aircraft has onboard systems, including the EWS IDAS-3 (countermeasure system), Exocet AM39 B2M2 missiles, from MBDA, the APS143 tactical radar and the naval mission system the N-TDMS (Naval Tactical Data Management System), developed in partnership with Atech and Airbus Defense and Space, which is responsible for command and control of all onboard systems, including the missile system

In June of that year, the last stage of the shooting campaign with Exocet AM39 B2M2 missiles was successfully carried out and certified by the IFI, representing a great step towards the industrial and technological autonomy of the country.

This aircraft will allow the Brazilian Navy to carry out SAR, CSAR, Area Control and Air-Surface Attack operations, in addition to the defense and surveillance of the Blue Amazon, relying on state-of-the-art embedded systems and high added technological capacity.
