The Helibrás H130 will now have new options for aeromedical use based on studies carried out in Brazil by the Engineering, Innovation and Programs teams at Helibras, together with potential partners specialized in these types of equipment. The helicopter, which is part of the Esquilo family, is produced with Brazilian parts and structural parts and represents an evolution in relation to the H125 Esquilo, an aircraft widely used for police and aeromedical use.
With greater takeoff power (952 shp), the aircraft also has a large cabin and luggage compartments, an autonomy of more than 3 hours and a range of more than 600 km. In the aeromedical configuration, in addition to the modern items already on board, such as the active vibration control system (AVCS), the helicopter brings cutting-edge options for rescue and rescue activities.
“The large interior space of the H130, combined with the powerful Arriel 2D engine and the flat (straight) floor, allows for several possibilities and configurations, such as, for example, the installation of a highly modular aeromedical solution, that is, capable of being configured according to the characteristics of the H6. operations of our clients, in each state or region of the country. We work with projects that can simultaneously transport up to XNUMX people (pilot, co-pilot, doctor, nurse, operational crew and the patient, lying on the stretcher), in addition to medical equipment, such as respirator, cardioverter, secretion aspirator and pumps. infusion”, explains Alessandro Branco, Engineering Manager at Helibras and one of those responsible for the technical conception of the new options.
