The Embraer EJET E2, the new generation of Ejets that will debut in 2018, will receive the new avionics that Honeywell is already preparing. in addition to a new way of approaching the situational information of the aircraft, all of this combined in a cockpit with a completely clean look and 3 huge “monitors” of 4 inches with LCD technology.

The Ejet will also debut the next generation of FMS (Flight Computer, similar to the FMC that Boeing uses), this new system from Honeywell has already been tested in the Gulfstream G650 and in the Boeing 747-8, among the innovations is a datalink system in that an option can be chosen instead of having to enter it manually every time, in addition to being optimized in the cost profile, to try to make the flight as economical as possible, including necessary power and cruise levels, and in the aircraft's descent profiles .

In addition, just like the current generation, the new one will feature 2 Head Up to further increase the synthetic view of the instruments and the flight. Honeywell has also developed a taxi helper to calculate the best route to the end of the runway, including NOTAM restrictions, and plot the path on the 2-D airport map. The E2 will also come with ADS-B “in” avionics, meaning the aircraft will receive position and information from nearby aircraft and equipped vehicles, data that can be used for real-time traffic updates across the airport.

Marc Herdegen, director of marketing and product management for the enhanced synthetic vision and ground proximity warning systems, says the customer revealed some "specific needs" for regionals, including that pilots are often quite new. “We're trying to incorporate situational awareness tools that help them operate more safely and efficiently,” says Herdegen. “Synthetic vision helps with that.” He notes that SmartLanding and SmartRunway, also onboard the E2, are just as useful. SmartRunway is a software package that includes Honeywell's Lane Awareness and Advisory System (RAAS). RAAS sends alerts when an aircraft is taking off or landing on a taxiway or a runway that is too short (like Santos Dumont – RJ). SmartLanding has air and ground modes, with ground mode including remaining runway distance callouts. Atmosphere mode has a stabilized approach monitor (SAM) and long landing monitor. at 1000 fpm-e automatically issues warnings if pre-set criteria are not met.
