As if the shock of seeing a part of the aircraft detach during full operation wasn't enough, some engers had their smartphones sucked out of the plane, such as an iPhone that was found practically intact after falling from a height of 16.000 feet (around 4.800 meters).

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Seanathan Bates said he found the device on the side of a road, and states that the most surprising part was finding the device intact thanks to its protective case. This was the second smartphone found in fully usable condition as announced by the NTSB.

Following the incident on Alaska Airlines Flight 1282 with 171 engers on board last Friday (5), the Federal Aviation istration (FAA) ordered the temporary suspension of all aircraft of the model. In Brazil, ANAC also announced the suspension of the model's operations in Brazilian territory. So far, the door has not yet been found.

This is the first time Boeing has faced a forced grounding of the 737 MAX following the release of the 737 MAX into operation, when the entire global fleet was grounded following two fatal crashes, resulting in a grounding from March 2019 until December 2020 .

Boeing, in turn, said it is investigating the case and is collecting data with Alaska Airlines. Other aviation agencies around the world are also preparing new inspection guidelines.

Because of the episode, it raised more alarm about the manufacturing quality of Boeing aircraft, which in recent years has collected several manufacturing defects in its aircraft, putting its long-term credibility into question.
