The Spanish airline Iberia will be the first company to use the IATA Travel health port for engers on flights from Europe to South America. Copa Airlines was the first airline to use IATA Travel in a test phase on flights in South and Central America in February.
Iberia reported that it will use it for the first time on April 10 on a flight departing from Madrid to Montevideo in Uruguay. To make the trip with the IATA Travel engers will need follow five steps on the company's website, within the process the enger will fill out the form and create an on the IATA application.
All data filled in by engers will be integrated into the application, which will also have travel port data along with the information necessary to enter a given country. This is one of IATA's measures to maintain the safety of everyone traveling by air around the world.
About 24 airlines worldwide are testing the new health port and app, some countries like Singapore have already approved the use of the IATA app.
Other countries such as the United States are looking for alternatives to engers' vaccination information before entering the country. The European Union has followed the same line as the North American country, however British has used the VerfiFly application.
