Last Sunday (04/07), Iberia carried out its first operation in Brazil using the Airbus A350. The plane entered the route between Madrid Airport, in Spain, and Guarulhos Airport, in the metropolitan region of São Paulo, replacing the A330-300.
The EC-NGT aircraft was responsible for flights IB6827 and IB6824, and has already returned to Madrid. The company continues to plan to use the A330-300 on its routes to Brazil, and the presence of the A350 was only seasonal.
Iberia's Airbus A350 has 348 seats in total, a very dense configuration for the A350-900. In total there are 31 seats in Business Class, which turn into a bed by reclining 180º, plus 24 in Economy and 293 in Economy.

In Iberia's fleet, its 16 A350 aircraft are already equipped with an aerodynamics improvement package, with new winglets, redesigned wings and higher MTOW (Maximum Takeoff Weight).
The Iberia A330-300, in turn, has capacity for 292 engers, in two classes.
The company stated before the pandemic that it hoped to use the A350 on its scheduled flights to Brazil, however, with border restrictions and decreasing demand, the airline decided to choose the A330 to continue operations in Brazil.
Turkish Airlines Expansion
Turkish Airlines has also carried out an important increase in operations in Brazil in recent days. The company added another regular flight between Istanbul and São Paulo, always with the Airbus A350.
Now the company has four weekly operating frequencies, previously there were only three regular enger flights. Turkish will maintain the cargo operation, which uses the 777F on flights from Turkey to Brazil.
The São Paulo (GRU)-Istanbul (IST) flights take place on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, departing from Guarulhos International Airport at 03:40 am and arriving in Istanbul at 22:25 pm.
The Istanbul-Sao Paulo return flights, in turn, are operated on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays, with takeoff at 10:20 am. Arrival in São Paulo is scheduled for 17:20 pm.
There are 32 seats in Business Class, arranged in a double aisle and with ample legroom in a 1-2-1 configuration. With a single touch, the seats convert into beds, offering maximum comfort for engers. The seats also feature a -protected storage area.
Economy Class, on the other hand, has 297 seats and a 3-3-3 configuration, with guaranteed space between the seats for your legs and an award-winning in-flight service.
