The Government of India informed that it will acquire around 200 fighter jets to replace the stock of its air force. The information came through the secretary of defense, Ajay Kumar.
“The contract for the 83 LCA Tejas M1A advanced fighter jets from HAL (Domestic Manufactured Fighter)”, continued the secretary in his statement.

“Approximately (for) 200 aircraft, procurement is ongoing”said Secretary Ajat Kumar.
In addition, India is already receiving its batch of 36 Rafale fighters, which have already started to be delivered. This further increases India's air power which is not the least. The Asian country's air force still has lots of air superiority fighters SU-30MKI, Mig 29, Mirage 2000, SPECAT Jaguar and Mig 21.
