The Airport Council International | ACI announced this Monday (6), during the Annual General Assembly of ACI Latin America and the Caribbean (ACI-LAC), Infraero as the newest member of the Board of Directors of the ACI-LAC. The event, which takes place in Miami, United States, between the 5th and 7th of November, brings together airport industry executives from around the world to debate relevant current issues that shape the aviation industry.
ACI is the global representative of the world's airport authorities and represents the collective interests of airports to promote excellence in the aviation industry. Actions are carried out in conjunction with governments, regional ACI , experts and international organizations, such as the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), to develop policies, programs and best practices that promote airport standards globally. .
Within Latin America and the Caribbean there is ACI-LAC, a regional office of the Airports Council International that represents the interests of airport operators in the region and its mission is to provide for a safe, stable, efficient and compatible airport system with the environment.

Currently, ACI-LAC has more than 75 , including from Brazil, operating different airports in more than 32 countries in the LAC region.
In 2022, Infraero returned to its status as an airport member of ACI-LAC, which enabled the Carbon Accreditation (ACA) of Santos Dumont Airport. As a member, the Company can participate in different meetings, sharing good practices in addition to having access to technical documents, studies and information relevant to promoting sustainable growth in Brazilian aviation.
