Infraero completed the assessment services for the adhesion conditions of the take-off and landing runways of the Fernando de Noronha Airport/Governor Carlos Wilson, in Pernambuco.
The Company was hired by DIX Empreendimentos, the terminal's , to carry out technical services for measuring friction and macrotexture on the runway.
The work carried out by Infraero included evaluating and monitoring the level of adhesion between the aircraft tire and the pavement in order to ensure even more safety for airport operations.
The services were performed according to the criteria defined by RBAC 153, from National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), which establishes requirements for the coefficient of friction and the depth of the macrotexture of the pavement.
The activity was carried out outside the airport's busy hours in order to guarantee the least possible impact.
Infraero's Maintenance Management superintendent, Ricardo Miranda, points out that the Company has a highly qualified team to carry out this work, which is so important for aviation safety.
