The forecast is for a movement of landings and takeoffs of 4.574 aircraft in 2042”, said Pereira.
The Master Plan includes the implementation of RESA (Runway End Safety Area), a runway end safety area); the expansion of the enger terminal, with the restructuring of vehicle access; the construction of a new parking lot; the installation of a new hangar; the relocation of the Aircraft Refueling Park, among other works. The manager also highlighted the main actions carried out since Infraero took over the management and operation of the terminal. “These opportunities to present improvements to Poços de Caldas Airport are fundamental for us to establish partnerships that will benefit the airport and the region over time,” he stated.
The vice-president of ACIA, Rodrigo Rezende, highlighted that the work carried out by Infraero is very important for the economic development of the municipality. “The Master Plan aims to modify and expand the airport’s infrastructure, allowing regional flights to connect our city to the national and international airline network. With this, we will be able to attract tourists from different regions of Brazil, in addition to strengthening executive aviation”, he pointed out.
The president of the Poços de Caldas Convention & Visitors Bureau and director of Operations of the Poços de Caldas Integrated Tourism Circuit (Citur), Renato Agostini, reinforced that the Master Plan opens up opportunities for improvements and partnerships that expand the airport's potential. “These negotiations are very relevant for our region”, he concluded.
