Infraero will operate ten airports in Ceará

Ten airports in Ceará now have the efficiency and expertise of Infraero Aeroportos. This Wednesday (23/8), the Company signed a contract with the State Government, through the Public Works Superintendence – SOP, for Specialized Technical Services for Management, Operation, Maintenance and Conservation of Camocim, Campos Sales Airports , Crateús, Iguatu, Quixadá, São Benedito, Tauá, Jericoacoara, Aracati and Sobral Regional.

The services to be provided include the istrative and operational management of airports with the management of routine tasks, as well as compliance with the requirements established in current legislation.

The Company will also be responsible for operational inspection activities, surveys and inspections, airport security, the environment, commercialization of external areas, preventive maintenance, among others. The period for providing the services will be 60 months, which may be extended by mutual agreement between the parties.

For the president of Infraero, Rogério Barzellay, the challenge of simultaneously taking over so many airports confirms Infraero's vocation and its expertise in favor of the country's airport development.

“For Infraero, it is a pleasure to offer its line of products and services to the airports of Ceará and to contribute to the integrated development of these terminals”, said.

“The negotiations between the State Government and the Federal Government, through the Ministry of Ports and Airports, began about two months ago. It is part of the initiative aimed at expanding, interconnecting and modernizing regional airports. Here in the state we will have ten equipment managed by Infraero, which has all the expertise to provide efficiency, improve conditions and expand the offer for both tourism and business”, underscores Lieutenant Governor Jade Romero.
