The Mexican airline InterJet, already had major problems with the Sukhoi SSJ100, resulting in even the operation of 5 aircraft in a fleet of 22 planes.
Logically, without its complete fleet, the company had to cancel flights and use more other aircraft, increasing the overall cost of operation. The stoppage of part of the fleet in 2015 also significantly affected operations.
However, the company's disagreements with Sukhoi are gradually being overcome, and Interjet's board of directors is once again “smiling” at the SSJ100. The reason? Each aircraft costs the company virtually nothing compared to the other planes in the fleet.

Interjet, which already thought about replacing the Russian plane with the A320neo and even ordering the A220 to replace these planes, now declares that its fleet planning includes the permanence of the 22 SSJ100 aircraft.
The company's directors, however, indicate that in the future they may initiate a fleet update that affects the SSJ100, for this reason they have not yet forgotten the A220.
