JetSMART announces two new routes in Brazil; ticket sales have started

The ultra low cost airline JetSMART Airlines announced two new routes from Brazil to cities in South America: São Paulo – Santiago and Rio de Janeiro – Montevideo, which will be a new alternative for business travelers and tourists between these two countries.

 The new routes start to be sold this Tuesday, December 13, on JetSMART.com, with prices ranging from R$ 390,00 final price for the São Paulo – Santiago segment and R$ 425,00 final price for the Rio stretch de Janeiro – Montevideo.

Estuardo Ortiz, CEO of JetSMART commented that “Brazil is a very important market for us and thanks to these new routes we will have the opportunity to increase the flow of people traveling through South America, allowing for synergy between the two markets with the objective of closing deals and promoting tourism through through the sale of tickets at very low prices for everyone who wants to travel, but especially for SMEs and businessmen who need to fly to Chile”, he said.

“As we increase connectivity and open up new regional destinations, such as the two routes we are launching today: São Paulo – Santiago and Rio de Janeiro – Montevideo, we are getting closer and closer to our goal of transporting 100 million engers and a fleet of 100 aircraft by 2028. Thus, our commitment to bring aviation to more people remains firm with all South Americans”, added Estuardo Ortiz.

The two new routes are added to the existing ones with Rio de Janeiro -Santiago, Rio de Janeiro - Buenos Aires and Foz de Iguaçu - Santiago, totaling five routes from Brazil.

After the announcement, JetSMART has 16 international routes, which allowed greater connectivity in seven countries in South America: Chile, Argentina, Peru, Colombia, Brazil, Uruguay and Paraguay.
