A JetSMART Airlines has just received two more aircraft, totaling three in 2024 alone. The “Alpacas” and the “Cometocino Patagonico” (local fauna bird), the animals printed on the tails of the two new units, are added to the ultra-low-cost company’s fleet, which now reaches 35 aircraft. The planes operate in eight countries in the region and domestic routes in Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Peru.
The airline received two Airbus A320s from Toulouse, , which reduced the average age of the fleet to 2,91 years, highlighting the constant growth in South America, allowing it to deliver greater and better connectivity to all its engers.

JetSMART has the youngest fleet in South America according to Ch-aviation's “World's Younger Aircraft Fleet Award”, and has transported more than 25 million engers since its foundation.
“With the arrival of these two new aircraft, JetSMART marks another significant milestone in its continued growth and expansion. With a fleet of 35 aircraft, we have established ourselves as the largest and most modern ultra-low-cost airline in South America. This achievement not only reflects our commitment to innovation and operational excellence, but also our determination to offer affordable travel options to our engers”, said Estuardo Ortiz, CEO of JetSMART.
“We are excited to continue expanding our presence in South America, as evidenced by the recent opening in the Ecuadorian market. These advances are proof of our vision and we look forward to continuing to bring our services to new destinations and communities in the future”, concluded the executive.
