The year started with many job opportunities in the purchasing area. BH Airport. With around 100 operations, including retail, restaurants and VIP lounges, the terminal is consolidating itself as a true shopping mall with several options for engers and, consequently, many vacancies for professionals who work in customer service. There are around 200 opportunities in different roles, including different times and day and night shifts.
Some of the most sought-after positions among store owners are salesperson, stocker, stock clerk and attendant. However, there are also opportunities for supervisory roles. The shifts vary: there are openings for standard business hours, others for the first shift in the morning, and night shifts, since the terminal operates 24 hours a day. Salaries and benefits vary according to the employer and the position. In some cases, there is the possibility of increasing the salary through sales commission.
The International Meal Company is one of the groups present in the terminal with the most vacancies. At the Viena Restaurant, located in the boarding area, there are 12 opportunities for attendants, cashiers and cooks. The RA Catering operation, which provides food for airline in-flight service, also has 26 vacancies, most of which are for production assistants who work on assembling snacks, but there are also vacancies for drivers and driver's assistants.
Another group that operates in the terminal and has many opportunities is F&L Empreendimentos, which controls operations at Pizza Hut, Fran's Café, Rei do Mate, American Day, Subway, Casa do Pão de Queijo, Barão Mineiro and California Coffee. There are about ten vacancies, mainly for sales staff.
O BH Airport Retail and Hospitality Manager, Lucas Malachias, highlights that the wide range of opportunities reflects the strength of the airport’s commercial mix. “As we expand our commercial offering to provide more options and improve the enger experience, we also boost the local economy, generating jobs and income. Today, the airport site employs around 7 people, who come from the cities surrounding the terminal and from Belo Horizonte. And this is a reason to celebrate for us: BH Airport is open to these professionals who will certainly learn a lot working in a dynamic environment like an airport,” he states.
