O Juazeiro do Norte airport should receive investments of R$ 200 million. The announcement was made last Thursday night, the 7th, by the management of the company AENA-Brasil, which manages the equipment, in Juazeiro do Norte. In approximately one year, from its beginning, the work will be completed and the airport will have doubled its flow capacity.
The project provides for the reconstruction and expansion of the boarding area, renovation of the landing strip, in addition to a study for the installation of cargo terminals to facilitate the traffic of cargo aircraft. Also under discussion is the decommissioning of the airport's parking area for reconstruction and the availability of 200 spaces after the renovation.
The municipality, through the Secretariat for Economic and Innovation Development, contributes with indications on the main needs ed by s so that there is assertiveness regarding local needs.
For Mayor Glêdson Bezerra, the expansion guarantees an increase in the flow of engers and cargo, which promotes tourism and the development of the production chain throughout the region.
