A Boeing 737-700 from the Dutch company KLM arrived in Amsterdam in the Netherlands this Wednesday afternoon (03) with the cargo hold door open. The aircraft had arrived from Leeds in the UK.
The Boeing 737-700 from KLM PH-BGT flew from Leeds to Amsterdam for 45 minutes at flight level FL370 or 37 feet.
After the aircraft landed, KLM reported that the aircraft had one of the cargo hold doors opened during the North Sea overflight due to a technical defect.
The Dutch airline assured that no crew or engers were in danger during the flight and no luggage or cargo was also at risk.
The door of the cargo hold of the Boeing 737 opens from the inside, due to this the risk of being pulled out or creating danger for the occupants and loaded cargo has been reduced.
The aircraft ed PH-BGT remained on the ground for 18 hours for the work of the KLM maintenance team, and has already resumed operations.
