KLM now offers combined flight and train bookings

KLM

Starting this week, KLM engers who book airline tickets will be able to simultaneously book a train ticket from Schiphol to Amsterdam Central Train Station with NS Dutch Railways.

ADVERTISING

The service is mainly aimed at foreign visitors flying from KLM to Schiphol and intending to visit Amsterdam. Travelers can now plan and book their entire trip in one place and won't have to wait in line to buy a train ticket.

Previously, KLM engers had the option to combine their airfare with car hire or taxi service via the CarTrawler booking platform. The new train ticket is an additional option, not only making things more convenient when engers book their trip, but also encouraging them to use rail transport. Upon completion of the booking procedure, travelers are emailed their train tickets by NS Dutch Railways.

NS Dutch Railways and KLM want to ensure that rail and air services coincide more closely. In the coming months, more domestic rail services to and from Schiphol by train will be made available to KLM engers via the CarTrawler booking platform.
