TAM Executive Aviation, owner of the largest executive aircraft maintenance park in Latin America, announces a partnership agreement with Pratt & Whitney. As Designated Maintenance Facility (DMF) and part of Pratt & Whitney Canada's global service network, TAM will increase the availability and accessibility of various services and maintenance solutions for customers operating a wide variety of P&WC engines in Brazil.

TAM will provide line maintenance services, up to the HSI level, and mobile repair crew for the following P&WC engines:
 

Business aviation turbofans: JT15D-5A, JT15D-5D, PW306C, PW306D, PW306D1, PW535A, PW535B, PW545A, PW545B, PW545C, PW615F-A;

General aviation turboprops: PT6A-114/A, PT6A-135A, PT6A-140, PT6A-140A, PT6A-21, PT6A-28, PT6A-41, PT6A-42, PT6A-52, PT6A-60A, PT6A-61.

According to the director of the TAM Executive Aviation Service Center, Wellington Amorim, this partnership is cause for celebration. “TAM AE is proud to announce Pratt & Whitney's DMF certification. It is recognition of the quality and excellence of our Service Center, which has highly qualified professionals, modern tools and exclusive use of original parts.”

The DMF agreement with TAM AE covers approximately 1.900 engines currently operating in Brazil. This number represents more than half of the total fleet of 3.400 P&W engines in the country.
 

Pratt & Whitney engines are serviced at the TAM AE Service Center in Jundiaí, São Paulo. The site has an area of ​​more than 20.000 m², being the largest for executive aircraft in Latin America, with several workshops certified by some of the most important aviation bodies in the world (FAA, DGAC, DNAC, ANAC), in addition to the homologation of the Armed Forces (Air Force, Army and Navy). Among the main services provided, the following stand out: avionics upgrades and installations; complete painting, with a large painting cabin, allowing to serve the most diverse executive jets in the market; interior design; sale of parts – there are more than 7.000 different P/Ns in stock; and repair of components for several Brazilian workshops, with the differential of direct delivery to customers. In addition to Jundiaí, TAM AE also has a service base in Belo Horizonte (MG) and Goiânia (GO).
