As of December 2020, LATAM will move its operations at Benito Juárez International Airport, in Mexico City, from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2, from where Aeromexico serves approximately 70 destinations in Mexico and the world, facilitating more fluid connections between the flights of both companies.

Aeromexico has a Health and Hygiene Management System (SGSH) that applies the highest standards in the sector, guaranteeing a clean environment at all stages of travel with the airline, such as constant cleaning of its entire fleet, mandatory use of face masks, antibacterial gel, case identification protocols, among others.
The LATAM Group, in turn, implements a comprehensive security strategy in accordance with the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO), the health authorities of the countries where it operates and the International Air Transport Association (IATA), which highlights the filters of HEPA air throughout the fleet, innovation in the self-service and digital channels, the mandatory use of a mask and the availability of alcohol gel at counters and on the aircraft, among other measures.
The company was the first in Latin America to develop “in company” an autonomous robot for cleaning aircraft with ultraviolet (UV) rays – a method that eliminates up to 99,9% of viruses and bacteria on board. The robot was 100% created by the company in Brazil, at its Maintenance Center (MRO) in São Carlos (SP).
