LATAM Brazil receives another Boeing 787-9 from the Chilean headquarters

LATAM Brazil received on the morning of this Monday (18), another Boeing 787-9 aircraft transferred from the group's Chilean headquarters.

The Boeing 787-9 registration CC-BGN made the route Santiago – Guarulhos operating the regular flight LA814 with engers. The plane arrived at Guarulhos International Airport around 03:22 am yesterday (17).

Since then, the Dreamliner has remained on the ground, having taken off for Fortaleza with the charter number JJ9422, already bearing the callsign of LATAM Brasil. 

The aircraft is probably undergoing a nationalization process to operate by the Brazilian company. It is not yet known which registration number will be used by the new LATAM Brasil aircraft.

The Brazilian airline received its first copy of the Boeing 787 in August last year, the aircraft underwent certification for approximately two months. During this period, detailed training was required to operate the aircraft, as this is the first operation of a 787 in Brazil by a Brazilian company.

Initially, LATAM Brazil it will operate four aircraft of this type, modernizing and standardizing its long-haul fleet with only Boeing aircraft, the 767, 777 and 787. Currently, the Dreamliner fleet in the Brazilian division comprises two aircraft.

The CC-BGN is an aircraft manufactured in 2017, having been operated only by LATAM Chile before being transferred to the Brazilian division.

As the models are equivalent, these professionals only took a short and specific training to complete the training. And for maintenance, the company already has 60 mechanics qualified for this model.

In of sustainability, the advanced technology of the 787-9 Dreamliner reduces fuel consumption and CO25 emissions by 2%, in addition to providing a 50% reduction in the level of sound noise.
