LATAM has just scheduled more flights on the São Paulo-Madrid route. From May 1st, operations between Guarulhos and Barajas airports will be expanded from 7 to 11 weekly flights to expand Brazil's international connectivity. Currently, LATAM has its own flights to 90 international airports. Airline tickets for the new flights on the São Paulo-Madrid route are now available on LATAM website and other sales channels.

This increase reinforces LATAM’s commitment to increasingly connecting Brazilian destinations with the world”, rate Aline Mafra, Director of Marketing and Sales at LATAM Brazil.
The 11 weekly flights on the route are scheduled to take off from Guarulhos at 23:15 pm (every day) and at 21 pm (Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday) for a 9:50 journey. In the opposite direction, they will take off from Madrid at 23:45 pm (every day) and 14:10 pm (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday), on a trip lasting 10:30 hours. Flights are operated on Boeing 787-9 aircraft with capacity for 300 engers (30 in the Business cabin, 57 in Economy and 213 in Economy) or on Boeing 777 with capacity for 410 engers (38 in the Business cabin, 50 in Economy+ and 322 in Economy).
Currently, LATAM s for 46% of the domestic operations at Guarulhos airport, which is its largest hub (connection center for its airline network) and where the company connects engers from all over the world with 49 other Brazilian airports.
In 2023, LATAM received 15 new factory aircraft in Brazil, which helped the company expand its domestic operations in the country by 8% and transport 33 million engers. In 2024, LATAM expects the arrival of more planes and a new growth of 7% to 9% in its domestic operations in the country, compared to 2023. In practice, more than 3 million of the company's seats will be added in Brazil this year .
Specifically in the Brazilian international flight market, LATAM opened 6 new routes in 2023: Guarulhos-Joanesburgo, Guarulhos-Los Angeles, Belo Horizonte-Santiago, Florianópolis-Santiago, Brasília-Lima and Porto Alegre-Santiago. In parallel, he signed technical cooperation agreement with Embratur (Brazilian Tourism Company) to promote Brazil internationally.
