LATAM on the rise: growth of 28,6% in January is the highest in the tourism sector

With positive prospects for 2024, the LATAM Group projected growth in its operations in Brazil. This is what shows its good performance in national tourist e-commerce. According to E-commerce Sectors Report, the brand led growth in the segment in January, achieving a significant increase of 28,6% in visits, taking fifth place by moving up one position.

Likewise, the Tourism sector also rose significantly (11,5%), impacted by the demand for summer holidays, in the case of the domestic market, or trips abroad – which are more common at this time of year. 

In the top 10 e-commerce category, Booking, Azul and Airbnb remain on the podium. With 19,7 million unique visitors in January, TripAdvisor reaches fourth place, displacing the bus booking brand, ClickBus, which is now in sixth place. 

Decolar also saw growth, rising to seventh place, with 14 million visits. Gol drops one position and is in eighth place in the ranking. The companies Quero agem and Localiza remain on the list in ninth and tenth place.

Share of Search: five brands that lead search participation

Representing 14,5%, Latam Airlines is at the top of searches by Brazilians within the sector. The metric indicates the participation in Google searches or another mechanism that a company has within the market in which it operates.

Next, the travel agency and booking website Decolar and Booking appear with 12,7% and 12,2% of the search share, respectively. In turn, CVC with 10,4% and Localiza with 7% complete the ranking of the most sought after brands in the national territory within the tourist segment.
