LATAM has scheduled more than 2.300 extra flights in São Paulo during the high summer season, between December 1, 2022 and January 31, 2023.
The increase in relation to the operation in the months of October and November 2022 mainly reinforces the Ponte Aérea Rio-São Paulo. There are 241 extra flights on the Congonhas-Santos Dumont route and 76 on the Guarulhos-Santos Dumont route.
Of the total, 80% of the extra flights are operated from Guarulhos, the main hub (connection center) of the company in Brazil. In the state of São Paulo, the company also maintains regular operations in Congonhas, Presidente Prudente, Ribeirão Preto and São José do Rio Preto.
More efficient after exiting its Chapter 11 process, LATAM has been growing and leading the Brazilian airline industry for a year and a half. During this period, it further reinforced its investments in Brazil, reaching the highest number of domestic destinations in its history in Brazil (there are 54 destinations currently against 44 before the pandemic) and remained the company that flies the most from the country to abroad (they are 21 international destinations already resumed on direct flights).
