Lufthansa has taken delivery of its first Airbus A321P2F aircraft, a conversion of the A321ceo for cargo-only operation. The aircraft ed D-AEUC is already in Munich, at the airline's base, and will start operating flights in March.
The German company still expects to receive a second aircraft of this model in the 2nd half of 2022, with the conversion carried out by Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EFW), and leased from BBAM. For now, Lufthansa has chosen to have only two A321P2F aircraft.

The A321P2F is considered the ideal cargo aircraft for Lufthansa Cargo's operations in Europe, operating short flights from Europe. Despite carrying cargo, the aircraft will be operated by regional carrier Lufthansa CityLine rather than the main division of Lufthansa Cargo.
The P2F conversion gives the A321 the capacity to transport 14 pallets of cargo on the main deck, and another 10 in the aircraft's holds. The maximum weight ed by the A321P2F is 27,6 tons, in this condition the maximum autonomy is 3700 km, ideal for short-haul routes.
