Malaysia Airlines, along with the decision to delay deliveries of the 737 MAX airplanes, also declared that it will retire the Airbus A380 in the coming months.
In this way, the Asian company is one more to announce the retirement of the A380, after Etihad made the same decision and after several criticisms from the CEO of Qatar to the double-decker plane.
Currently, the company has 6 aircraft of this model in its fleet, and all will soon be disconnected from the company's network. There are still no airline plans on where it will store the planes, which belong to the airline itself.
Previously, the company was already giving indications about the retirement of the aircraft. The company gave up on an interior upgrade in 2018, while looking for those interested in operating its A380s.
