Brazil has the second largest agricultural air fleet in the world, with 2.108 planes and seven helicopters – according to a survey carried out in January 2018 in the Brazilian Aeronautical Registry (RAB) of Anac. The sector is directly responsible for high productivity in strategic crops for the country, such as soy, sugarcane, cotton, corn and rice, and is also essential in planting pastures for crop/livestock integration.

The Brazilian fleet is second only to that of the United States, which has around 3,6 aircraft (87% airplanes and 17% helicopters). Agricultural aviation in Brazil emerged in 1947, in the southern city of Pelotas, and will complete 71 years on the 19th – National Agricultural Aviation Day.
