Last Tuesday, the Chinese manufacturer COMAC delivered two more aircraft of the ARJ21 model to China Southern and Chengdu Airlines, the date was special not only for the 68th delivery of the model, but also for the 6th year of production of the regional jet.
On June 28, 2016, COMAC inaugurated the ARJ21 with a triple delivery to state-owned airlines Air China, China Eastern and China Southern, marking an important milestone for the Asian country's aerospace industry.
In addition, the use of natively manufactured aircraft made China rethink the use of western aircraft, mainly Boeing, as the country recently faced diplomatic disputes with the North Americans.
With almost 70 regional aircraft produced, COMAC is targeting the presence of the ARJ21 in other countries, with Indonesia's TransNusa as the first international operator, meaning an important milestone for the manufacturer.
Currently, the ARJ21 is operated by: Air China, China Eastern, Chengdu Airlines, China Eastern, China Southern, China Express, Genghis Khan Airlines and CFGAC.
Close to making the first delivery of the Comac 919 to rival the Airbus A320neo and the Boeing 737, it is very likely that China will advance in the sale of aircraft to allied countries, especially those that have international sanctions and are prevented from negotiating with companies in the Western.

The ARJ21 is the first jet independently created, developed and designed in China. Each of these small planes has a capacity of 90 engers, and represents China's attempt to break into the regional aviation market. The ARJ-21 is equipped with CF-34 engines, the same used in aircraft such as the Bombardier CRJ and the Embraer E-Jet E1.
