Meeting of two pilots marks yet another delivery of Embraer's Ipanema agricultural aircraft

Embraer Ipanema Pilots

In June, Embraer delivered another EMB-203 Ipanema powered by renewable energy (ethanol). The aircraft was purchased by a customer in the municipality of Thailand, in the interior of Pará.

To receive and transfer the aircraft, the owner hired the pilot Laura de Ramos Lima, who had the of Embraer test pilot Laryssa Albuquerque throughout the acceptance process and flight. The delivery took place at the Embraer factory in Botucatu, in the interior of São Paulo.

The two pilots are part of a select group of 10 women licensed to fly agricultural aircraft in Brazil, and they want to inspire new colleagues to follow in the profession. The sector has been ing growth in recent years. In 2021 alone, sales at the Ipanema a 48% increase.

With the favorable performance of Brazilian agribusiness and the technological innovations incorporated in the new version of the aircraft, the Ipanema has been one of the main highlights of precision agriculture for combining high technology and tradition of a product that continuously evolves to meet the requirements of high productivity and low operating cost.

With nearly 1.500 units delivered, Ipanema leads the agricultural segment with a 60% share of the domestic market.
