Microsoft Flight Simulator

In another post we highlighted how amazing the new Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 graphics are. But this time we got more information about the game, which promises to be released this year.

The game is still being developed by Xbox Game Studios and Asobo Studio. The two companies have promised a launch this year, and are expected to release a final beta version of the game in July.

Microsoft plans to release its first Alpha 5 build on July 09th, which marks the last alpha build before release. Despite this not having a perfect window, the launch is on track to be held before the turn of the year, close to Black Friday.

Rumors also suggest that Microsoft wants to present the new game at an event this month, along with more news for the Xbox suite. The sale, however, will be carried out by subscription style, through Xbox Game . Since the game is based on virtual servers, for some complex calculations this step by the company was expected.

That is, you will not “buy” Flight Simulator, you will “sign” the right to use the game.

Microsoft's focus for now is on adding the latest features to the game, to assess whether there might be a risk of glitches and bugs. The game should also be sold outside the Steam environment, and first released for computers, and then for video games (Xbox One and Xbox X consoles).

Meanwhile, beta testers post the settings they use to run the game on forums. Even with graphics in the cloud, the new Microsoft Flight Simulator should be very “heavy” for current computers.

Despite being quite "heavy" even for the internet of Brazilian standards, the new Microsoft Flight Simulator should impress in everything, even the physics of the game, which considers, for example, the movement of winds in a chain of mountains to generate turbulence on an aircraft flying nearby.

The real-time cloud formation system is configured to use 32 layers of data, giving more realism to the game. You are not going to try to get into a CB with your Cessninha 172.

Microsoft Flight Simulator will mods from launch, bolstering its broader efforts to embrace community-created content.

Microsoft hopes to add a multiplayer function to the game as well. The company talked about including smooth flight animations that eliminate any form of judder, due to network lag. Game servers automatically optimize to only show planes with a distance of 200 kilometers, limited to the closest 50 pilots.

It is worth mentioning that this publication is being assembled in early July, and several new details may be announced by Microsoft in the coming months.
