Morocco reportedly asked the US for 24 units of the AH-64 Apache attack helicopter, reported the website linked to the US government, Export.gov. According to this website, the purchase of military helicopters would cost US$ 1,5 billion.
The website that is voted for US trade issues emphasized the African country's military investment that could reach "$3,9 billion by 2022". Such investment adds up to the three armed forces the country has been modernizing. Another proof of this was the acquisition of 25 units of F-16 Fighting Falcon fighters in 2019.
“In the last decade, Morocco has strengthened its navy and equipped its army with sophisticated vehicles”, said Export.gov.

Because it is a very good helicopter on the market, the Apache stands out within the US in the US Army and abroad, such as in Israel, India and England, three powerful nations in war issues that use the Boeing helicopter.
The Apache can reach 293 km/h and has a military power that includes a 30mm automatic machine gun, in addition to the capacity to carry rockets and several missiles, such as the AIM-9 Sidewinder.
Morocco's military investments, as said, will grow even more until 2022 and new military acquisitions may come. The military expenditure of the North African country was “$48 billion between 2005 and 2015”, added the site.
