The flight will begin operating on June 11th and there will be three weekly flights, with ticket sales starting next week.

It has not yet been made official which aircraft will be used in the operation, but the EuroAtlantic Boeing 767 is considered, with capacity for 259 engers, 14 in Business Class and 245 in Economy.

The president of EMPETUR, Eduardo Loyo, also confirmed the return of Azul flights from Recife to Asunción in Paraguay from the beginning of August. There will be two weekly flights.

Last week Azul confirmed the flight from Recife to Porto in Portugal, which will begin operating at the beginning of June.

Azul has been creating new international routes through its partnership with EuroAtlantic. This new partnership is very important for tourism in Brazil, and it is also a barometer to determine whether these direct routes to Europe from a capital city in the Northeast are viable. Despite some criticism, this type of partnership operation avoids the airline going into debt by purchasing aircraft to test a new international route, which requires larger-capacity aircraft.
