The new Airbus A330 that will arrive to make up the fleet of Boliviana de Aviation (BoA) was seen in full airline livery. This will be the first of four aircraft that should arrive for the Bolivian company.
The arrival of the new Airbus A330 for Boliviana de Aviación was made official in 2022 during FIDAE in Chile. The agreement was closed with Avalon aiming at replacing the old Boeing 767-300 fleet.
Ten years ago, BoA used a single Airbus A330 through a wet lease agreement with the Portuguese company Hi Fly. The aircraft operated for just one year and the Bolivian company maintained its operation with the Boeing 767.
Now the Airbus A330 registration 2-HXFJ was seen at Châteauroux-Déols Airport in and recorded by Spotter Lucas Slowikowski.

The aircraft in question is relatively new, just over eight years old and was originally delivered to Virgin Australia. It was returned to the lessor in 2020 and since then, it has not operated flights. This Airbus A330 is powered by Rolls-Royce engines.
There is still no information on when the new Boliviana de Aviación plane will be delivered. When delivered, the jet is expected to be the holder of long-haul routes to Madrid and Miami and also perform some flights to Guarulhos.
