Aeroflap looked for information on the Federal Court of Auditors website about the auction, but the link encounters a 404 error.

Galeão Airport is currently operated by RioGaleão, a concessionaire in which Singapore's Changi Airport Group owns 51% and Brazilian state-owned company Infraero the remaining 49%.

According to the BNamericas website, a government official said that the idea is to auction off 49% of Infraero while keeping 51% of Changi Airport Group. The plan is being negotiated between the federal government, the Federal Court of Auditors (TCU) and Changi.

In 2022 Changi Airport Group announced the intention to return the concession due to the drop in enger volume. The Brazilian government granted concession granting recomposition, granting a discount of R$428,6 million.

In 2023 the airport had infrastructure investments which reached R$2,4 billion.
