Azul Linhas Aéreas has just defined the route for its new Airbus A350. With capacity for up to 334 engers and consumption of about 20% less fuel per seat, the aircraft is part of the company's fleet modernization plan.
Under the name “50 is also Blue”, the plane recently added to the fleet will be destined for the city of Orlando, Florida (USA), starting December 15, on one of the company's two daily flights.
Yes, from January 1, 2023 and throughout the high season, Azul's operation between Viracopos and Orlando will be carried out with this equipment.
Flights depart from Viracopos International Airport, in Campinas (SP), where the company already operates its largest hub, serving approximately 70 cities from the interior of São Paulo.
“We are delighted to announce Orlando as the destination for our first Airbus A350. This is one of the favorite places for Brazilians, who will now be able to travel with Azul and enjoy a quieter, wider cabin, as well as wider panoramic windows and more space in the luggage compartments.”, says the company's president, John Rodgerson.
Florida was the region of the United States most visited by Brazilians in 2021, who seek attractions there such as the dozens of theme parks and shopping centers in the region.
On board the A350, Customers will be able to choose between the three categories available inside the aircraft: 33 Business seats, 102 Economy Extra and 199 Economy seats.
In addition to more comfort for Customers, the new aircraft is more efficient in of fuel consumption and a reduction in carbon emissions per seat, when compared to older generation aircraft.
Blue experience in international travel
For those traveling abroad with Azul, whether to the United States or Europe, the convenience of the journey happens even before boarding, in the Azul Lounge, located in the international area of Viracopos airport, in Campinas.
In a space of 820 m² with capacity for 240 people, the company offers home theater, showers, panoramic veranda, in addition to dozens of options for food and drinks.
On Azul Business, Customers have a full seat, with direct aisle access, personalized dining options and world-class in-flight entertainment. Those flying in Economy Xtra class can also enjoy an improved legroom experience.
Azul's A350 jets also feature the Panasonic eX3 entertainment system, one of the most advanced technological solutions on the market. Televisions in all classes are 16 inches and are equipped with a remote control and have a touchscreen mode option. In all classes, video playback quality is in HD. The screens are equipped with a USB port, which serves, above all, to recharge mobile devices.
And when it comes to meals, the menu is not far behind, always featuring four options, ranging from meat, fish and pasta. Dishes are accompanied by soup, salads, cheese and bread, in addition to special starters and different desserts.
