Among the participants will be pilots, aircraft owners, air taxi companies, authorities, airport s, ground handling companies and others.

Paraná was chosen to receive the Aviation XP due to the strength it represents in the South region in of general aviation in the country. To get an idea of the sector's potential, the state was the one that most contributed to the growth of turboprops in Brazil between 2019 and 2020, with an increase of 16 aircraft in the fleet.

“The large number of companies installed in the three states of the region, combined with the great potential developed by agribusiness, position the South of the country as a strategic market where this modal is increasingly being used as a working tool for the daily growth of the region. ”, said Junicley Soares, from Aeromecânica, a company that has been operating in the aeronautical market for over 10 years, headquartered in Curitiba, Ponta Grossa, in Recife (PE), and is now preparing the inauguration of a new 2.100 m² hangar at the Aldeia Airfield da Serra, located just 60 km from the capital Curitiba.

Aeroparque will host the event

“I believe that the arrival of Aviation XP in Paraná, aiming at the South of Brazil, focuses on a part of Brazil that was lacking in this type of event. RS/PR and SC occupy 4th, 5th and 6th places respectively in the Brazilian GDP scale, losing only to SP (an unreachable machine), RJ (oil) and MG (ore)”, said Wagner Aichner, responsible for the Project and Development of Aeroparque Aldeia da Serra, where the event will take place.

For those who don't know yet, Aeroparque Aldeia da Serra was born from a project started in 2009 with a main focus on executive aviation.

“We designed and executed an airfield focused on the small and medium-sized operator, 99% of the executive market in our region”, said Aichner. Operations began in 2017 with the offer of 62 hangar spaces in 600m² modules. “Today we have approximately 50% of the spaces already occupied/built by hangars ranging from 600m² to 1800m² and 100% of the spaces sold.”

According to 2020 data from the Brazilian Yearbook of Civil Aviation, Paraná has a fleet of 1.926 conventional aircraft, 288 helicopters, 181 turboprops, 106 jets and 3 amphibians. And when it comes to private airfields (not including helipads and helidecks), the state is also the highlight of the region with 69 units. There are also important companies in the air taxi segment, maintenance, among others.

Successful event expands nationwide

Aviation XP arrives in the South region after a successful first edition last year, in the city of Goiânia (GO). Over the two days of activities, the event had the participation of 2.200 visitors, moving a value of US$ 8 million in closed deals.

Large companies participated in the fair such as Tecnam, an Italian aircraft manufacturer, Sete Taxi Air, TAM Aviation and Executive, Bell, Aerian Aviation, Global Parts, Aerotrading, Piper, Antares Pólo Aeronáutico and Life JEt.

“It is a market that has enormous potential and needs events of this size. Even in the face of a pandemic scenario, we saw general aviation increase by 0,4% in the fleet in the first quarter of 2021 and the trend is that this rise will continue. Our goal in bringing the event to Paraná is to bring together big names in the sector and enable new connections to be made in the southern region”, said Gledson Castro, director of G2C Events, organizer of the fair.

After being held in Paraná, Aviation XP will travel to Goiânia (GO), on the 29th and 30th of June, and Fortaleza (CE), on the 26th and 27th of October. The 2022 calendar of G2C Events will also feature six more events between the months of April and September, namely Flyrun, Aerogolf, Heli XP, Arraiá Aéreo, Aero Day and Aviatrade.
