A person was sucked into the engine of an Embraer 190 from KLM this Wednesday (29), at Schiphol airport, in the Netherlands.
According to local media, the incident occurred around 15pm (local time), with a massive emergency service immediately called in, but the victim did not resist. At the time of the accident, there were engers and crew on the Embraer, which was operating KLM flight 1341, which was leaving for Billund, Denmark.

As a result of what happened, the flight was canceled, and all engers and crew disembarked from the aircraft. It is not yet known whether the dead person worked at the airport or was a enger on another flight. The case is being investigated by the Dutch Safety Council (OVV) and has been classified as a work accident.
“Today there was a horrific incident where a person ended up in a plane engine,” said a Schiphol spokesperson. “Our thoughts are with the family and we are providing assistance to the engers and colleagues who witnessed this.”
