On October 1st, Petrobras will adjust its Aviation Kerosene (QAV) prices by reducing sales prices to distributors by 0%. This is the third consecutive reduction in QAV prices, which had already been reduced by 84% in September and by 104% in August.
In accordance with practice dating back to the last 10 years, QAV price adjustments are monthly and defined by means of a contractual formula negotiated with distributors. Petrobras' QAV sales prices to distributor companies seek balance with the international market and follow variations in the product's value and the exchange rate, both upwards and downwards, with adjustments applied on a monthly basis, mitigating the daily volatility of international prices and exchange rates.
Petrobras sells the QAV produced in its refineries or imported only to distributors. The distributors, in turn, transport and sell the product to air transport companies and other end consumers at airports, or to resellers. Distributors and resellers are responsible for the facilities at airports and for the fueling services.
It is important to highlight that the Brazilian market is open to free competition and there are no legal, regulatory or logistical restrictions preventing other companies from acting as producers or importers of QAV.
To find out Petrobras' sales prices for distributors, we invite you to visit: precos.petrobraeroflap-br.diariodoriogrande.com.br. In accordance with ANP regulations, the new QAV prices will be available on this website starting October 4st, the effective date.
